Yup, it’s my week over at International Heat. Come on over. There will be prizes.
Meet the Heat–Jambrea
If I had to describe Jambrea using one word, it would be FEARLESS. I know what you’re thinking. Bold, italics and underlined? Seriously? But that’s how fearless she is!
Jambrea has assured me time and again that this quality is only manifested over the internet and that she is really quite shy. I do not believe her. I’m a member of a few of the Yahoo! groups Jambrea’s on. Effortlessly interacting with author and readers alike, she is always ready with a kind word of encouragement, the answer to a question or request for help, and a suggestion of someone else who might be able to assist if she can’t. And let’s not even talk about when Jambrea loves a story or an author. Anyone that knows her will tell you that she doesn’t hesitate to spread the love
Jambrea’s online presence is a thing of wonder but she’s even more amazing offline. Okay, so except for sleeping, she’s never technically offline. hehe I’m talking about when she’s not on the groups. I don’t know what I would do without her and I hope I never have to find out.
My favorite Jambrea book is not yet finished but here’s the blurb and excerpt from the first story she wrote, Dreams. It’s in the Over the Moon anthology.
Book one in the Seeds of Dawn Series
Anabella’s dreams bring her to David, but is he the salvation she’s looking for?
Anabella Pouge is plagued with powers she can’t control, making her life far from normal when all she wants is ordinary. Change is coming her way when she must flee with a man straight out of her dreams.
David Sanders is sent to find Anabella. Without her, the future of his wolf pack is in danger. Forced to travel to the middle of nowhere, David finds Anabella might mean more than just his pack’s survival.
Will the two make it back to the pack in time? Can Anabella and David accept each other and the coming changes to their lives?
The woman made his heart stop. Beautiful didn’t even begin to describe her. The goddess—all curvy and lush—caused his libido to go haywire, making his cock swell and throb. Usually lust didn’t hit him this hard or fast. It had to be the heavenly aroma coming from the woman. She looked to be close to six feet with long, flowing red hair. He wanted to tangle his hands in it and pull her to him for a kiss. He tried to shake it off, but the urge became stronger, almost like a spell compelling him to go to her.
When she turned around, their eyes locked. He could easily drown in their liquid, green depths. She blinked, and the spell shattered until her tongue darted out to lick her luscious, red lips. He felt his cock swell even more.
Her face turned a beautiful shade of rose. David wondered if she could see the tent his dick created in his pants from looking at her. He got up from his table and took a step forward then hesitated when he noticed her backing away. She slipped out of the diner, but David’s eyes never left her.
It appeared he’d found Anabella Pouge.Bella felt someone staring at her. She clutched her wolf pendant and turned to look for the source. She spotted the man in the diner, and a wave of lust washed over her body. She couldn’t believe he existed. Her dream man, the man who haunted and teased her, making her want what she knew she could never have. Her knees weakened, and she had to clutch the doorframe. Her face flushed, her body going up in flames from the heat of his stare.
The man had to be over six feet tall with black hair and black eyes. He looked like he’d been painted straight from her fantasy. He even had the scar by his right eye. She wanted to reach out and trace it like she had so many times in her dreams. He’d done things to her she’d never dared allow a living, breathing man to do. Her panties dampened as she thought about him and their night time romps. She had to leave now, because if she didn’t, she would touch him.
She missed a step on her way out of the diner and fell on her ass.
The heat of embarrassment surged up her face, and she glanced around. Of course, her dream man saw her and walked straight towards her, stalking her with a look of lust in his eyes. She tried to scramble up, but the long skirt she wore tangled around her feet. At least she could say this was the first time she’d fallen head over heels for a guy. Bella covered her mouth with her hand to stop the hysterical laughter from bursting forth. She needed to get away.
She couldn’t let him touch her, or she would have a headache for a week. Bella had learned the hard way that a touch from someone caused a weird echo in her head, as if she merged with the other person’s mind. It created a psychic pulse that stayed with her, sometimes causing her to black out. She’d never learned to block it, and that was why she stayed away from people. How stupid to think coming into town would be a good idea.
She managed to get to her feet as her dream man reached out to her, closing the distance. She inched away from him before he could touch her.
“Wait! Stop. I need to talk to you.”
He sounded as wonderful in real life as he did in her dreams, but she couldn’t stop now, no matter how much she wanted that honey-coated voice to wash over her. She needed to get away—fast. She turned and moved towards her car.
“Anabella…wait.”
Those words stopped her in her tracks. How did he know her name? Who was this man?
She turned back around as dread pooled in the depths of her stomach. He rushed forward again, and Bella put out her hand.
“Stop! Don’t move.” Her voice held a slight tremor.
Pssst…Dreams will be releasing as a single title later this year. Shh. You didn’t hear that from me
In any case, if you haven’t read it yet, I’m sure you don’t want to wait. Click on the cover to link to Total-e-Bound where you can purchase Over the Moon and have a look at Jambrea’s other titles with them.
p.s. I’m in a sequel. Woot!
Jambrea has built up a substantial backlist in a very short time. Check out her website to see. She’s over at the International Heat blog all week. There will be hot guys and prizes. Head on over there for a chance to drool win!
Meet the Heat–Jayne
Jayne is AWESOME! She hooked me with her story Nice and Naughty in the Three’s Company anthology but what put her into the stratosphere for me was Night is Darkest.
Ty and Mason. Mason and Ty. *happy sigh* So freakin’ hot!! That Lacey is one lucky lady. Damn her!
Night is Darkest is my favorite Jayne Rylon book and the excerpt today is part of my favorite scene in the story.

Some secrets refuse to stay hidden.
Lacey Daughtry’s perfect weekend is interrupted by tragic news of her brother’s murder in the line of duty. Plagued by a rash of mysterious phone calls, she turns to her brother’s best friends and fellow officers for protection…and comfort.
Spending time in close contact with Mason and Tyler, the two men she’s dreamed of since her first girlhood crush, seems like the answer to a prayer. Especially when they begin to explore the desire she’s harbored for so long.
But the partners are holding out on Lacey. Determined to suppress the most extreme facets of their lust, they agree to settle for sharing the woman they crave while concealing their desire for each other. Until Lacey cracks their resolve, unleashing a torrent of emotions that threatens to distract them when they can least afford it.
Their blossoming relationship is complicated by secrets. And the only way to evade the killer threatening their lives is to bare their souls in the darkest hours of the night. Or everything will come crashing down, just before the dawn.
Warning: After reading this book you’ll never look at a pair of hot cops, a cemetery or a can of Spaghetti-O’ s the same way again.
Excerpt -
Tyler huddled into his charcoal wool jacket to avoid the chill as he slunk across the frosted lawn to the backdoor of the apartment he shared with Mason. Above it, a single hundred-watt bulb made an ineffective beacon welcoming him home in the early morning glow. The dread pumping through his nervous system rivaled any he’d experienced as a teenager praying he’d evade MomDAR after a late-night excursion. Only, this time, his roommate inspired the apprehension instead of the debauchery that had earned the repercussions.
He estimated his chance of making it inside undetected to be about as abysmal as the chance of wiping the memory of burying himself in Lacey’s virgin pussy from his mind. But, son of a bitch, even a lifetime of torment—knowing exactly what he was missing—would be worth the taste of rapture he’d stolen.
Now he had to pay for it.
Tyler paused to consider the merits of jimmying a window before he abandoned hope and squared his shoulders in preparation for the come-to-Jesus ass chewing he deserved. The metal stairs creaked by design as he ascended. They’d worked hard to make this place their own as much as possible for a no-frills rental unit. No one could slip in with them unaware. They’d seen too much shit during their time on the force to be less than vigilant at home.
He cringed when an image of the crime scene including Rob’s mutilated body as a gruesome centerpiece flashed, unbidden, into his mind. Fuck Mason. Fuck his iron willpower. Ty’d needed Lacey as much as she’d needed him last night. Her soft innocence paired with fiery desire had cauterized the gaping wound in his heart, at least temporarily.
The award he and Mason had received for exemplary service rattled on its prominent shelf as the door slammed behind him. He’d just unlaced his shoes when movement from the scarred leather sofa caught his attention. Legs splayed, shirtless despite the chill, Mason poured a stream of amber liquid into the glass nestled between his bunched thighs.
Ty licked his lips. “I’m impressed. Whiskey before breakfast. We haven’t done that in years.”
“Haven’t been to bed yet.” Mason’s pupils had dilated from sitting in the dim room. The ebony centers overshadowed his cerulean eyes, making them appear ominous despite his calm tone. “That makes it a nightcap.”
The measured speech didn’t fool Tyler. A telltale muscle jumped along the right side of Mason’s neck and his knuckles whitened around the bottle of Jack before he set it, with overabundant precision, on the end table they’d scored off a buddy who’d moved in with his fiancée. It had been too “bachelor pad” for her tastes, which made it perfect for their eclectic refuge of hand-me-downs.
“You worked the case all night despite the captain’s orders? You have a gut feeling on this one, don’t you?”
Mason didn’t answer the rhetorical questions. Instead, he fired a fierce stare in Ty’s direction. Goddamn, would he ever blink?
Ty tried not to shuffle like a kid busted with his hand in the cookie jar but that’s exactly what he felt like. “Shit! Say something already. Curse at me, let the bottle fly or kick my ass old-school. Just quit looking at me like that.”
“Like what? Like you’re the scum of the earth? Like you’re a cock-sucking asshat who broke the shit out of a pact with his best fucking friend?”
“But how could it stop there?!” you wail? If you head on over to Jambrea’s blog, there’s more.
And when you read that bit, you’ll want the whole book. I know it!

T and I worked together many moons ago. If I tell you where, I’ll have to kill you
And we became friends—nothing forges friendship faster than a rabid addiction to m/m. hehe Soon after we ceased to be coworkers, T started her ebookaddict blog. It’s been so awesome to watch the blog morph into what it is today. T’s love of books shines through with every post, whether it’s a review or a commentary on the ebook industry. Her tireless promo of authors is invaluable and much appreciated. I’m so proud to have her in my corner.
Check out her shiny new website at Ebook Addict Reviews. There’s always something interesting going on.
T reviewed a book we both loved–Regularly Scheduled Life. You can read the entire review at her site but here’s a snippet:
The characters have been together for 6 years and have a wonderful relationship so sweet it makes your teeth ache or so their friends say. You will laugh and cry, you’ll cuss out them out — tell them to pull their heads out of their asses. You’ll want to scream no don’t do that! You’ll be sorry!…
I agree wholeheartedly! lol
Pop over to International Heat where T has the reins this week. She will be sharing sizzling excerpts and giving away loot. You don’t want to miss it.
